10th October Nova in M31 AT 2018hfs discovered by Xingming Observatory Sky Survey on 2018/10/10.601 I spotted it a few hours later. 18th October Nova in M31 AT 2018hld discovered 2018/10/15.457 by Koichi Nishiyama and Fujio Kabashima 23rd October An object was spotted moving across M31 at speed. The Minor Planet centre website showed it was 1942 Jablunka, discovered in 1972 by L. Kohoutek. 26th October Nova in M31 AT 2018hoo Xingming Observatory Sky Survey on 2018/10/26.575 Again, I missed it by a few hours. 27th October I tried the Helix Nebula using the colour camera at Siding Spring. It needs much more data to get a good image. This is 8x120 seconds.
